+Devices are detected (Devices screen) via [mDNS](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multicast_DNS) in the local subnet your smartphone is connected to.
+Shellies are controlled through the [HTTP API](https://shelly-api-docs.shelly.cloud/#shelly-family-overview), which is activated by default.
